A Herald of Sustenance and Health

A Herald of Sustenance and Health

The celebration of Nutrition Month in July stands as a significant event to promote guidance and awareness for the needy. A month with the bearing of shining light on our path to proper lifestyle, a crucial timeframe exercised by various groups and clubs of ISNHS. As the sands of time pass, the world continues to grow, technology moving forward, spearheaded by the geniuses and the mind of various countries; this comes at a cost, food becoming more processed and decreasing physical activity and action. This narrative further engraves the meaning and purpose of Nutrition Month. This month provides pivotal moment in everyone's lives, granting us guidance and empowering us to become heralds of proper nutrition.

A beautiful sunset landscape

"A herald? What does it mean to be a herald?" I, for one, believe that to be a herald, means to serve the people. Throughout high school, I changed and improved many times; I adapted. I joined the YES-O, the Science Club as an officer, one who passionately serves his people. This month, I got the chance to participate in service of proper nutrition and enveloping myself in its practices. It wasn't just a post, it was my duty and proud contribution.

To be of service and to be of duty and responsibility; that is one of my firm beliefs in enacting the title of an officer. Even if just a small amount, to spread awareness is to peak on a new dawn. A glimpse of the sun rising with its light shone on the path laid by the hands of God, the meaning of awareness delineates its presence through that horizon. To make a difference is the powerful repeating phrase etched into my mind. Celebrating Nutrition Month and raising awareness on proper practices highlights the significance of service and social movement.
