A Mark on the History of Ilocos Sur      President Elpidio Quirino is regarded as a great pride of Ilocos Sur to the extent that an honorary day was declared in order to commemorate him. Elpidio Quirino was born in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on November 16, 1890, he is the third child of Gregoria Rivera and Mariano Quirino. His early education consisted of private and public schools in La Union and Ilocos Sur and continued to persevere under financially stressful conditions. Basing from his biography, it is not inaccurate to infer that he lived a humble life as a Filipino, and as a bigueño.     Before being elected and renowned as the 6th President of the Philippines, he worked as a teacher to support his family and later received his law degree and passed the board examination in 1915.  Voices of the Youth: A Progressive Effort to Eliminate Mediocrity     During the span of the second quarter, the activities, the blog posts, the internet-related lessons we learned prospered as we delved into the wonders of technology. Throughout this quarter, the various blog posts encompassed the voices that will provide our nation with advancement in different areas of society. I discovered that through these blog posts, we take one further step towards crafting a tomorrow. My experiences contributed to learning more about the future advancement of technology and communication. Despite having a plethora of discoveries, troubles during our lessons are ultimately unavoidable by normal circumstances.
